Sharmistha Guha
Sharmistha Guha MRCOG, PG Cert (Gynae Ultrasound) is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust, London. She has done advanced training in Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy Care, Gynaecological Ultrasound, Benign Open and Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery and Advanced Labour Ward Practice. Apart from being a clinician, she is interested in postgraduate training and education.

- She has been appointed as the Webinar Convenor and is responsible for the recently launched Webinar programme for RCOG.
- She has been appointed as RCOG eLearning (Core Knowledge) Editorial Board Member in 2021.
- She has been appointed as a member representative in the Part 2 MRCOG EMQ (Extended Matching Question) Sub-committee at the RCOG.
- She is a member of the Part 2 MRCOG Standard Setting Committee and is involved in the standard setting of the Part 2 MRCOG examination twice a year.

ATSM (Advanced Training Skills Module) preceptor for Acute Gynaecology & Early Pregnancy Care for Northwest Thames London Deanery (from January 2015). As the preceptor, I have developed a curriculum for Ultrasound training in the region and published studies on simulation training in ultrasound.
Research: She has performed clinical research and have several publications in peer reviewed journals in the field of Early pregnancy and Acute gynaecology. She continues to supervise trainees in research projects, participates in trials and continues to publish. She has presented in many national and international conferences
Courses and Conferences:
Advanced Communication and Consultant Preparation Course: Conceived idea, developed and organized course for the HEE/ London Deanery since December 2013. This course runs 3 times a year and is attended by 15 – 25 candidates preparing for consultant jobs. Good feedback and success rates from the candidates. Includes mock interviews with at 6 – 8 consultants in the panel.
1 day and 3 day MRCOG course at Kolkata and Hyderabad respectively (India). Developed the course program, invited specialist trainers, delivered Theory and OSCE sessions, prepared mock examination papers with SBA and EMQs, assessed performance of candidates. Very good feedback received from local organisers and candidates (invited to repeat course)
London Deanery MRCOG OSCE Course invited faculty member twice yearly for 3 years. Wrote OSCE stations and trained the candidates with individual feedback. The pass rate of the course is 85 – 90%.
